Malaspina is a disco-pub in the centre of Santander, on Pasaje Jesús Revaque Garea, with an industrial look of bare brick and beams and more than 20 years open. Listings describe its music as indie, rock and pop with selected sessions, while other guides speak of chart hits on a busy dance floor; in short, songs everyone knows. It opens Thursday to Saturday from 23:00 to around 4:30. It is the kind of place with regulars and its own taste.

VIP Tables at Malaspina

Malaspina is a pub with a dance floor, not a table club. If you are coming as a group, message us on WhatsApp with the date and we will tell you what we can arrange.

How to Get to Malaspina

Malaspina is on Pje. Jesús Revaque Garea, 39003, in the centre of Santander. It is a walk from Cañadío and the rest of the central bars, so it fits easily into a night out in the centre.

Dress Code & Entry Requirements

Listings describe the style as casual with style. There is no strict door code published; bring your ID.

A disco-pub with regulars

Malaspina is one of those places that has outlived trends. It has been open for more than 20 years, with an industrial interior of exposed brick and beams, and listings describe it as a bar where the night relies on taste more than spectacle. That is the key to understanding it: you do not go for a show or a guest DJ, you go because the music is good and the crowd knows what it is there for. It works well as the middle of the night, after dinner and before or instead of a big club. It is also not a place that depends on one night a week: it opens Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so it works for a weekday plan too.

What music to expect

Sources describe the music differently. FiestasHoy lists indie, rock, pop and selected sessions. Arrival Guides speaks of local and international chart hits on a dance floor that gets crowded, with people of all ages. Both point to the same idea: songs to sing along to, not an underground policy. If you want something specific, a quick message to us before you go saves surprises. Arrival Guides adds that the dance floor gets crowded and that people of all ages come, which matches its long history: some of its regulars have been going for years. The usual drink there, according to the same guide, is gin and tonic. If you are going with people who want reggaeton all night, this is probably not the place; if they want to sing, it is.

Hours and planning the night

Listings give Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 4:30; another guide gives a shorter Thursday, so on Thursdays it is worth checking. It is in the centre, on Pasaje Jesús Revaque Garea, close to the rest of the central bars and Cañadío. A typical plan: dinner or pinchos nearby, Malaspina from midnight, and whoever wants to keep going moves on to a club afterwards. For groups, message us on WhatsApp. Since it is a pub rather than a club, we have not found advance tickets for it, and on busy nights there may be a wait at the door. Bring ID. For a group of more than eight or ten people, message us with the date so we can tell you what to expect.
