Samoa Santander: hours, location and what to expect
Samoa is one of the most followed venues in Santander's centre on Instagram, and at the same time one of the ones that publishes least about itself. That makes it hard to know what to expect if you have never been. This guide puts together what we could confirm and tells you clearly what we could not.
Where it is
Samoa is on Calle Moctezuma, 39003, in the centre of Santander. Listings do not give a street number. The street is short and also has Ramé Social Club, at number 3, so it is easy to find. You can walk there from the main central bar areas, including CañadÃo.
Hours
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Thursday | 22:30 to 3:30 |
| Friday | 23:00 to 4:30 |
| Saturday | 23:00 to 4:30 |
| Sunday to Wednesday | Closed |
These hours come from directory listings, so check the venue's latest posts before a specific night. The pattern is useful: Thursday opens earlier and closes at 3:30, so it does not ruin Friday; on Friday and Saturday it opens at 23:00, which means you can arrive straight from dinner, and it closes at 4:30, earlier than the Puertochico clubs.
What we know and what we don't
We know it is listed as a night club, that it accepts reservations and groups, and that its Instagram account, @samoasantander, has around 11,000 followers and almost 500 posts, which suggests a busy, current venue. We do not know its music policy, capacity, prices or minimum age: the venue does not publish them anywhere we could check. Rather than fill those gaps with guesses, we leave them blank. Its Instagram is the best way to see what a typical night looks like.
The Moctezuma plan
Calle Moctezuma gives you two venues a few doors apart. Ramé Social Club opens at 17:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so a group can start there in the afternoon and move to Samoa when it opens at 23:00. On Thursday both open at night: Ramé from 22:00 and Samoa from 22:30. If someone in the group wants to keep going after Samoa closes at 4:30, Sala Queen on Calle Tetuán opens until 6:00.
Dress code and entry
Samoa does not publish a dress code or minimum age. For a weekend night in the centre, smart-casual is the safe choice. Bring ID, since the door can ask for it. For a group, send us the date, how many you are and the time you want to arrive, and we will tell you what we know about that night.
Have you been?
If you know Samoa and want to tell us what the music and crowd are like, write to us. We update these guides with real information, and a first-hand account is worth more than another directory listing.
Getting there and getting home
Since Samoa is in the centre, getting there is easy on foot from any of the central bar areas. Closing at 4:30 on Fridays and Saturdays means you are home before the 6:00 rush from the big clubs, which makes finding a taxi easier. If you are staying in the centre, you can probably walk back. On Thursdays it closes at 3:30, so it fits people who have something on the next morning.
Quick answers
- Is Samoa open on Sundays? No, listings give Thursday to Saturday.
- Does it have a website? We have not found one; its Instagram is @samoasantander.
- What is the exact address? Listings give Calle Moctezuma without a number.
How we can help
We are a guide to Santander's night, not the venue. For Samoa, that means we can tell you what we know about a given night, help you plan the route on Calle Moctezuma and around it, and ask about options for groups. Send us a WhatsApp with the date, how many of you there are and the time you want to arrive.
