Sala Queen Santander: the room for the end of the night

Every city has the place where the night ends. In Santander, for a lot of people, that is Sala Queen: a room on Calle Tetuán that opens until 6:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. Here is what we know about it and how to use it well.

Where it is

Sala Queen is at Calle Tetuán 32, 39004 Santander. It shares the 39004 postcode with Puertochico, where Kudéta is, so it is walking distance from the centre. At 6:00 a taxi is the easiest way home.

Hours: from midnight to 6:00

Listings give midnight to 6:00 in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday: in other words, Friday night and Saturday night. Friday hours are inconsistent between sources, with one showing an obvious error, so if you plan to go on Friday, check its latest posts first. The point is that Queen starts late and finishes late. When the pubs in the centre, Samoa, Malaspina or Pandora, close around 4:30, Queen still has an hour and a half to go.

What we know and what we don't

Queen is listed as a night club and accepts reservations and groups. Its Instagram account, @salaqueensantander, has around 3,500 followers and more than 1,300 posts, which suggests a venue that publishes often: that is the best place to see what each weekend looks like. It does not publish a music policy, prices, capacity or minimum age, and we prefer to tell you that rather than make it up. If you have been and want to share what it was like, tell us and we will update this guide.

How to use it in a night out

Queen is not where you start. A typical route: dinner and drinks in the centre or Cañadío, a pub or a club like Samoa or Pandora until 4:30, and Queen for the last stretch. If you start in Puertochico, Kudéta also opens until around 6:00 at weekends, so Queen is the alternative if you want a smaller room or Kudéta is full. Agree beforehand who is staying until the end, so nobody is left looking for a taxi alone at 6:00.

Dress code and entry

Sala Queen does not publish a dress code or minimum age. Smart-casual is the safe choice, and bring ID: the door can ask for it, especially late. For a group, message us with the date, how many of you there are and roughly what time you will arrive.

Before you go

  • Check its Instagram for the weekend: it publishes often.
  • Bring ID: the venue does not publish a minimum age and the door can ask.
  • Plan the way home: at 6:00 taxis can take time on busy weekends.
  • If you are coming from Kudéta or Puertochico, Calle Tetuán is a short walk away.

Quick answers

  • Is Sala Queen open on Thursdays? Listings show it closed Monday to Thursday.
  • Until what time does it open? 6:00 on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Can I go as a group? Yes, listings say it accepts reservations and groups.
  • Is it in Puertochico? It is on Calle Tetuán, in the same 39004 postcode.

How we can help

We are a guide, not the venue. With Sala Queen, what we can do is help you plan the whole night so that it ends there: where to start, which club fits before 4:30 and how to get from one to the other. For groups, send us a WhatsApp with the date, how many of you there are and the approximate time you will arrive at Queen, and we will tell you what we know.
